The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to be working with a revolutionary cleantech start-up that is playing a vital role in the UK & Europe's energy transition. This company is a leading provider of Smart Grid software solutions, enabling utilities and grid operators to monitor, optimize, and control power grids.

Following VC-backing and successfully onboarding an impressive list of international clients, they are currently searching for a Smart Grid Engineer who will play an important role in the business' continued success by developing and maintaining solutions that will improve grid stability and efficiency.

This individual will be joining the growing Spanish team and will bring technical simulation & modelling expertise from their background in smart grid / energy systems / electrical engineering (ideally using MATLAB, Python, or similar). Candidates must be fluent in Spanish & English.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and maintain smart grid solutions for automation, real-time control, and renewable energy integration to the grid.
  2. Conduct power systems analysis and modelling by creating optimization and control simulations.
  3. Analyze grid performance for stability and efficiency, troubleshooting where required.
  4. Manage projects from conception to launch in time and on budget.
Job Requirements:
  1. Electrical engineering, Computer Science, or Power Systems background (Degree or similar).
  2. 2 years' experience surrounding smart grid technologies.
  3. Strong understanding of smart grid dynamics, renewables, and power systems technologies.
  4. Skilled in simulation and modelling tools (Python, MATLAB / Simulink, etc.).
  5. Familiarity with relevant processes and protocols (e.g. IEEE & IEC).
  6. Ability to work individually and within a team environment.
