Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled research technician with extensive experience in sample preparation for immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (IF) involving preserved tissues, whether cryopreserved or fixed. The successful candidate will collaborate with our affiliated medical institution to gather samples, process them for IHC or IF, conduct image acquisition, and refine the image acquisition and data analysis workflow.
About Our Laboratory
Our lab is dedicated to high-throughput image analysis, subcellular proteomics, transcriptomics, genetic screening, bioinformatics, and various cell and molecular biology methodologies. Our diverse team consists of approximately 10 individuals from multiple cultural backgrounds. We are part of the genome biology department at the CRG, focusing on understanding the localization of metabolic enzymes within the nuclear environment and their roles in specific chromatin functions.
Candidate Profile
Required Qualifications
Essential Skills
• Over 5 years of experience as a research technician
• Proven expertise in tissue handling, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and image analysis
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with customizable image analysis workflows
• Knowledge of cancer biology, particularly breast cancer
• Familiarity with Western Blot, cell culture, qPCR, and other routine cellular and molecular biology techniques
Educational Background
• Certificate of Higher Education as a research technician or a bachelor's/master's degree in biological sciences or a related discipline
Language Proficiency
• Proficient in English

Employment Conditions
