Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Biopharma Quality department, you will play a critical role in harmonizing our QC laboratories worldwide and leading the start-up phase of QC units at new Grifols sites. Your primary responsibility will be to set up our new manufacturing site in Egypt, ensuring compliance with Egyptian regulations, Grifols standards, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement all Quality Control aspects of production, warehousing, and testing in the Grifols Egypt manufacturing site.
  • Ensure compliance with industry quality standards, GMPs, and all regulatory and safety aspects of the manufacturing site and its processes.
  • Define harmonized strategies for QC planning to optimize all Grifols manufacturing QC processes.
  • Establish a manufacturing QC organization chart, write job descriptions, and build and manage a local manufacturing team for QC, including managers and specialists.
  • Interview and evaluate candidates to ensure they can perform the required tasks in the process.
  • Coordinate training processes, coaching, and mentoring to ensure future harmonized practices in Grifols QC sites.
  • Define KPIs and ensure compliance, including management and reporting.
  • Perform assigned tasks by direct Manager.

Requirements

  • You have a Life Sciences Degree (Pharmacy, Biology, Chemistry, Biotechnology, etc.) or an Engineering Degree.
  • You have at least 5 years of experience as a Laboratory Manager in pharmaceutical companies.
  • You have a high proven knowledge of GMP and GLP environments.
  • Your English is advanced (C1).
  • You are available to travel (approximately 40%).
  • You have excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to perform and delegate tasks effectively and prioritize workload.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
