About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Cost Controller to join our pre-opening team at AccorHotel. As a key member of the Finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the financial operations of the hotel, managing hotel assets, and ensuring a centralized accounting environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and record goods deliveries, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Record F&B costs into the General Ledger System, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Develop and implement cost control procedures, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
- Update costings and ensure compliance with documentation and authorization processes.
- Process F&B accruals, monitoring inventory levels and implementing strategies to increase inventory turnover.
- Participate in month-end reporting procedures, providing accurate and timely financial information.
- Conduct weekly stock takes, evaluating inventory levels and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Assist with purchasing agreements, maintaining a centralized purchasing system and ensuring all items are up to date.
- Verify reconciled inventory reports, troubleshooting any discrepancies and ensuring accuracy.
- Prepare and submit cost reports, daily, monthly, and yearly, in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in hospitality, business administration, or a related field.
- +2 years of experience in a hotel's accounting department.
- Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to take ownership of important issues and make effective decisions.
- Ability to learn quickly and adapt to our unique company culture.
- Humility and a willingness to consider new ideas and perspectives.
