Data Center Regional Mechanical Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join Amazon's team as a Data Center Regional Mechanical Engineer. As a key member of our AWS Infrastructure Services team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our global data centers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide full life-cycle support to AWS Data Centers from design inception through site improvement and maintenance.
- Act as the 'go to' engineering resource for your region, providing technical advice and expertise to diverse teams.
- Perform design and equipment submittal review for new Data Centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot and resolve site/equipment failures, creating Corrective Action documentation as needed.
- Support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support.
- Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design solutions, adding capacity, improving availability, increasing efficiency, and sustainability.
- Interface with internal data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety teams to promote standards and consistency.
- Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers, working on concurrent projects across multiple geographical regions.
- Initiate and lead engineering audits, including onsite visits within Amazon's data centers.
- Produce reports outlining risks with recommended mitigations and remediations.
