Data Center Regional Mechanical Specialist

As a Field Engineer with Amazon Data Services Spain, S.L., you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our data centers. Your expertise will be instrumental in providing full life-cycle support to our AWS data centers, from design inception to site improvement and maintenance.
Key Responsibilities- Perform design and equipment submittal review for new data centers in your region.
- Troubleshoot and resolve site/equipment failures, conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and creating Corrective Action (CA) documentation.
- Directly support operational issues with ad-hoc training, complex operating procedure reviews, and event support.
- Own the conceptual design for existing data center upgrades and design-solutions, adding capacity, improving availability, increasing efficiency, and sustainability.
- Interface with internal data center operations, design engineering, server hardware, and environmental health and safety teams to promote standards and consistency.
- Develop innovative solutions for AWS's data centers, working on concurrent projects and sometimes in multiple geographical regions.
- Initiate and lead engineering audits, including on-site visits, producing reports outlining risks and recommended mitigations.
- Act as resident engineer during new construction projects, supporting construction, commissioning, and turnover.
