About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Communications Consultant to join our Public Affairs team in Madrid. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and support to our clients on a range of policy and regulatory issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze institutional and regulatory developments in the EU and Spain
  • Conduct policy research and analysis on relevant issues
  • Draft reports and present findings to clients

What You'll Do

As a Public Affairs Specialist, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of client accounts, supporting senior colleagues and contributing to the development of new business opportunities. You will also be involved in general day-to-day support of operations, including:

  • Delivering client reports and presentations
  • Supporting with day-to-day deliverables
  • Participating in strategy sessions for clients
How You'll Grow

You will have the opportunity to work in some of the most challenging and fascinating public policy issues currently being tackled in Spain and Europe, advising a broad range of clients in different sectors. You will be part of a dynamic and multinational team of experts based in Madrid and will have the opportunity to work closely with professionals within FTI Consulting's global network.

What You Will Need to Succeed
  • A minimum of 3 – 4 years of experience in a similar role working for a public affairs agency, law firm, or public institution
  • Bachelor's degree required, with studies in the fields of political science, international relations, EU policy, law, or related areas
  • Proven skills and/or interest in politics, public affairs, advocacy, issues, and reputation management
  • Native Spanish, with excellent English and one or two additional European languages preferable
