Local Unit & Position Overview:

The Iberia region, encompassing Italy and Malta, operates within the Maritime Sector of West Europe. This area is responsible for all operational classification activities and comprises approximately 60 professionals across eleven locations. Our operations are divided into two primary Service Lines: New Building (NB) and Certification and Verification of Materials and Components (CMC/VMC), while the Fleet in Service (FiS) Service Line is integrated into the FiS West Europe business unit.

Our clientele demands a diverse array of certification expertise, ranging from materials and welding to complex machinery systems, including gears, thrusters, compressors, pressure vessels, pumps, electrical installations, and automation systems.

Building on our traditional foundations, we are advancing into innovative technologies such as fuel cells, new turbine designs, advanced electrical drives, and lithium battery systems for marine propulsion.

We are seeking a qualified Surveyor to enhance our CMC & NB team in Iberia, reporting directly to the local Service Line Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Certify and verify materials and components in accordance with class and non-class systems and processes, primarily in the Basque Country, Cantabria, and Asturias.
  • Collaborate with clients to manage their orders and requests alongside relevant organizational departments.
  • Engage in project-oriented tasks, participating in interdisciplinary verification projects.
  • Evaluate and audit manufacturing capabilities according to various maritime standards.
  • Conduct certification and verification of materials and components under class and non-class systems, mainly within Spanish territory but not limited to it.
  • Participate in surveying new building projects, contributing throughout all project phases.
  • Ensure all activities are performed safely, prioritizing personal and collective safety.
  • Take ownership of personal competence and career development.

Position Requirements:
