Job Title: Frontend WordPress Developer

Gentoo Media is a leading affiliate in the online casino and sportsbook industry, and we're currently looking for a skilled Frontend WordPress Developer to join our team.

Job Description:

We're seeking a talented Frontend WordPress Developer to develop and maintain complex WordPress websites using the Roots.io tech stack. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, as well as experience with React and custom Gutenberg block development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain complex WordPress websites using the Roots.io tech stack
  • Write and maintain HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript code
  • Build complex user interfaces and components using React
  • Create and extend WordPress functionality through custom Gutenberg block development
  • Integrate and manipulate data using REST APIs and potentially GraphQL
  • Optimize websites for Core Web Vitals to enhance user experience and SEO performance
  • Implement on-page SEO best practices, including technical SEO factors like schema markup
Requirements:
  • Solid frontend skills with HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
  • Proficiency in React for building robust user interfaces and components
  • Extensive experience with custom Gutenberg block development
  • Familiarity with modern module bundler tools like Webpack, Babel, and Vite
  • Ability to integrate and manipulate data using REST APIs and understanding of GraphQL
  • Deep understanding of Core Web Vitals and SEO optimization strategies
