Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Theoretical Knowledge Instructor to join our team at Avia Solutions Group. As a key member of our aviation education team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality theoretical instruction to aspiring pilots, playing a critical role in enhancing the effectiveness of our training programs.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Theoretical Lesson Delivery: Teach EASA ATPL subjects to students, ensuring clear and engaging instruction to help them succeed.
  2. Mentorship and Guidance: Offer guidance and mentorship to students, supporting them through all phases of their courses, especially those facing challenges with internal final exams and CAA exams.
  3. Area 100 KSA Instruction: Instruct and assess students on Area 100 competencies, with a focus on key skills such as Mental Math.
  4. Student Performance Assessment: Conduct assessments, provide constructive feedback, and support students in their academic and professional growth.
  5. Progress Monitoring: Track and evaluate student progress, ensuring they meet their learning objectives and course requirements.
  6. Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of student performance and progress throughout the training.
  7. Course Phase Planning: Collaborate with Ground and Flight School teams to organize and plan the various phases of student courses.
  8. Collaboration with Fellow Instructors: Work closely with fellow instructors to achieve high success rates for students in both internal and CAA exams.
  9. Training Material Review: Evaluate the instructional materials, suggest improvements or add relevant information where necessary.
Requirements
  1. Education and Experience: Hold a degree or equivalent experience in aviation or a related field, together with a comprehensive understanding of aviation theory, EASA regulations, and ATPL subjects.
  2. Certification: Possess an EASA-approved instructor certification.
  3. Proven Experience: Have proven experience as a Theoretical Knowledge Instructor (TKI) or similar instructional role.
  4. Key Skills:
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in using educational technology and software platforms, especially Moodle.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
  • Ability to engage and motivate a diverse range of students.
  • Ability to adjust teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and student needs.
  • A strong commitment to maintaining and promoting a culture of safety within the learning environment.
