About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer Control Specialist to join our team at Hitachi ABB Power Grids. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of control and protection systems for power converter system projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Specify, program, test, and document control and protection software
  • Define technical requirements and interfaces with sub-suppliers and other engineering functions
  • Design and develop software for power electronic systems using tools such as HiDraw, Compact Control Builder, and Matlab Simulink
  • Perform commissioning and customer training on-site, as well as provide service support remotely or on-site for the installed fleet
  • Maintain control and protection concepts and software, including documentation
  • Support the sales department in the concept and tender phase for new opportunities

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; a Master's in Power Electronics or Power Systems is also desired
  • More than 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Willingness to travel
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
  • Strong analytical mindset, organizational skills, and attention to detail
