About the Role

As a Digital Designer at air up, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth by crafting engaging, effective, and optimized digital experiences that embody our brand. Reporting to the Head of Product Design and working closely with the Digital Product Design Team, you will collaborate daily with a dedicated team of in-house Product, Digital, and Brand Designers, Product and E-commerce Managers, and Developers. You will develop a solid working relationship with our Product Team, participating in team ceremonies, brainstorms, and supporting ongoing projects.

Your Key Responsibilities
  1. Design Delivery: Collaborate with the Digital Product Design team to deliver designs that meet brief requirements, are on time, and consistently high in quality, with moderate supervision across various projects.
  2. Digital Asset Creation: Create and optimize digital assets for our webshop, ensuring they align with brand standards and support e-commerce goals.
  3. Webshop Design and Maintenance: Contribute to the design and maintenance of our webshop, upholding standards of accuracy and consistency.
  4. Design Concept Development: Generate multiple design concepts for review by Product Designer, presenting thoughtful rationale that aligns with brand guidelines.
  5. Performance Optimization: Support the testing and optimization of our website, identifying opportunities to enhance performance for both new and existing content.
  6. Mobile-First Design: Apply a mobile-first design approach, contributing ideas and implementing improvements in this area.
  7. Accessibility: Ensure accessibility is a key consideration in all design work, advocating for and implementing best practices.
  8. Industry Trends: Stay informed on the latest industry trends, standards, and content inspiration, and identify opportunities for creative improvement.
  9. Collaboration: Collaborate with the Brand Comms team during website and campaign photoshoots, providing input on page templates, best practices, and layouts.
  10. Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Digital Product Design Team, including UX and UI Designers, to enhance the digital user experience.
Requirements
  1. Design Software Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, etc.) is essential.
  2. Digital Asset Creation: Ability to create, optimize, and manage digital assets for e-commerce platforms, ensuring they are on-brand and support conversion goals.
  3. Typography and Layout: Strong sense of typography, layout, and visual hierarchy to create clean, functional, and appealing designs.
  4. Web and Mobile Design: Proven experience creating responsive, user-centric designs for both mobile and desktop platforms, with a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design principles.
  5. UX/UI Fundamentals: Solid understanding of UX principles, including wireframing and prototyping, and the ability to translate them into intuitive UI designs.
