About the Role

Analog Devices, a global leader in semiconductor innovation, is seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join its Physical Design Engineering team. As a key member of our Consumer Product development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mixed signal subsystems for next-generation consumer products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement floorplans, power/ground distribution, and clock distribution for digital subsystems
  • Lead logic synthesis, cell placement, and interconnect routing efforts
  • Ensure equivalence-checking, timing closure, and physical verification (LVS, DRC) for digital designs
  • Collaborate with RTL designers to solve complex technical challenges
  • Own and deliver digital subsystems of significant size and complexity
  • Develop and manage project schedules, monitor progress, and ensure effective teamwork across geographically dispersed locations
Requirements
  • B.Tech/M.Tech in EE/ECE with 8+ years of experience in digital implementation
  • Strong knowledge of floor planning, place and route, CTS, STA, ECO methodology, power analysis, and physical design verification
  • Broad experience in synthesis and timing constraints
  • Experience with 40nm digital implementation is essential
  • Scripting skills and experience with languages such as Tcl, SKILL, and Perl
  • Knowledge of state-of-the-art implementation tools, preferably Cadence
  • Experience working with Perforce/Methodics for versioning
  • Knowledge of CPF/UPF methodology is an added advantage
  • Strong technical ownership and hands-on expertise required
