About the Role

Rijk Zwaan is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Squash Breeder to join our team in Spain. As a key member of our Squash breeding team, you will be responsible for developing new squash varieties for global market segments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate crop-related processes, including seed logistics, crossing, marker-assisted selection, phenotyping, and administrative tasks.
  • Improve processes and implement the latest technology developments within the company.
  • Design and evaluate variety trials worldwide in our stations and with clients.
  • Participate in strategic discussions about the breeding program.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Applied Biology, or Plant Breeding.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and administrative skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish languages.
  • Previous experience in plant breeding is an asset.
