Hitachi Energy is seeking a highly experienced Material Sustainability Lead to join our Supply Chain Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving material sustainability initiatives across our business units.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and implement material sustainability processes and roadmaps for our business units
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to drive decarbonization and improve transparency of Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) data
  • Collaborate with Category Managers and Marketing & Sales teams to create business cases and drive sustainability initiatives
  • Monitor and report on progress towards sustainability targets and KPIs
  • Develop and deliver training programs on LCA and Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) basics for our SCM community
Requirements
  • More than 10 years of experience in supply chain management or a related field
  • Experience with LCA and EPD development
  • Previous leadership experience in strategy and roadmap creation
  • Successful experience in implementing global sustainability programs in large, international organizations
