About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Host/Hostess to join our pre-opening team at SLS Barcelona. As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will be responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere for our guests, ensuring a seamless and exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Host Team Support: Collaborate with the management team to provide guidance and support to the host team, ensuring they are equipped to deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of the host team, focusing on areas such as guest interaction, table management, and conflict resolution.
  • Service Standards: Monitor and maintain high service standards, taking corrective action when necessary to ensure a consistent and exceptional guest experience.
  • Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly and by name, escorting them to their tables, providing chair assistance, and presenting menus in a professional and attentive manner.
  • Large Party Hosting: Host large parties and events, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest satisfaction.
  • Ambiance Management: Maintain a clean and organized reception area, ensuring the ambiance is appropriate, including music, temperature, and lighting.
  • Information Provision: Approach guests to collect information needed to assist with seat and bar arrangements, providing accurate and timely information about the property and its offerings.
  • Reservations and Inquiries: Confirm reservations and respond to daily email inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements
  • Education: Degree in Hospitality or Restaurant Management.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar administrative role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a high-volume food and beverage environment.
  • Skills: Knowledge of hotel food and beverage operations, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Language: Fluent in Spanish and English.
