Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Customs Specialist to join our team. As a Customs Specialist, you will play a critical role in the preparation and submission of customs declarations, ensuring compliance with regulations and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Instruct and close External Transit Procedures (T1)
  • Prepare customs declarations, ensuring all relevant data is available, correct, and properly documented
  • Lodge customs declarations towards customs authorities in our MIC customs system
  • Error processing in our systems (MIC and SAP), editing file transfers, and creating manual templates if needed
  • Monitor and control customs clearance procedures until conclusion

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Law, or a similar field or Higher Degree (Grado Superior) in Foreign Trade
  • AEAT certificate is a plus
  • Background and practice in the field of customs / freight forwarding
  • First experience gained in customs processes (export, import, export, Intrastat, customs classification tariff, and preferential/non-preferential origin determination, Intrastat)
  • International experience (work in international teams, work abroad) is a definite plus
  • Experience in customs/ERP IT systems such as SAP, MIC
  • Fluency in Spanish and good command of English
  • Responsibility, organization, communication, and assertiveness skills are valued attributes
