Job Summary
Nordex Se is seeking a highly skilled Wind Energy Technician to join our team. As a Wind Energy Technician, you will be responsible for developing and improving wind tools, providing support during the tendering phase, and conducting technical evaluations of wind tool risks during project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and understand site-specific wind and climate conditions
- Analyze constraints for every specific site and support the Tendering team during wind analysis
- Conduct risk analysis to optimize project constraints (hub height, rotor diameter, major component wind speed limit)
- Align with the engineering department to define the right parameters
- Calculate the wind impact on site during project execution outcomes and compare with results from the wind tool
- Combine technical requirements and practical limitations to enhance wind risk performance
- Identify risks and opportunities to improve the wind tool
- Collect wind analysis from different sites and compare with the wind tool
- Implement and support corporate processes and tools, and develop locally required processes/tools with different regions
- Report achievements, risks, and challenges on a regular basis
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Engineering/Meteorology or equivalent
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and experienced in using wind tools
- Competence in wind flow modeling and relevant software such as WindPro, WAsP, or other comparable software
- Experience with CFD codes is a plus
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work with large datasets
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position
- Experience in crane and transport in wind energy, including crane operations planning
- High proficiency in English; German is a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Proactive and assertive
- Able to work with multicultural teams
