Library Assistant

Kwantlen Polytechnic University is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Associate Library Technician to join our team. As a key member of our library staff, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to students, faculty, and staff.

• Provide circulation services and front-line support to library patrons
• Assist with collection management, including cataloging and processing new materials
• Support library operations, including shelving, reshelving, and maintaining a clean and organized library environment
• Collaborate with library staff to achieve departmental goals and objectives

• Completion of a two-year Library Technician diploma from a publicly accredited post-secondary institution or equivalent education, training, and experience
• Experience using an integrated library system and ability to learn new software and technologies
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
