Firmware Engineer for Avionics and Flight Systems

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Firmware Engineer to join our Avionics and Flight Systems Division at Sener En Aeroespacial. As a Firmware Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of cutting-edge firmware solutions for space exploration and defense technology.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the definition and implementation of firmware solutions, including architectures, components, interfaces, and requirements.
  • Prepare FPGA specifications and test the developed solutions.
  • Understand hardware and software platforms and define software and firmware interfaces.
  • Break down complex solutions into manageable firmware components and tasks.
  • Participate in proposal preparation and communicate technical approaches to project teams.
Requirements
  • Between 2-6 years of experience in FPGA development, preferably in the space or automotive markets.
  • Experience in all stages of firmware lifecycle, including requirements specification, architecture definition, implementation, validation, and integration.
  • Ability to gather and analyze user requirements and provide guidelines for solutions.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to articulate customer technical needs into technical specifications.
  • High level of English proficiency.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in VHDL programming.
  • Experience in Simulink and Matlab.
  • Knowledge in C++, C#, Python, Go, and/or distributed OS.
  • Experience in data/signal processing solutions.
  • Experience in space, automotive, or defense industry environments.
