Future Metals LLC is a leading distributor of aerospace quality metals and other materials to the global aircraft manufacturing and maintenance industry.

**Job Summary**

The Division Manager will be responsible for growing the division's operating income by leading the day-to-day sales and operations teams. The primary responsibility is to ensure safe and efficient operations, with complete customer satisfaction, delivery, quality, and long-term sustainable growth.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Full P&L budget responsibility for all aspects of the division, including sales, profitability, overhead, and cost control.
  • Train and coach team members to progress in succession planning, talent development, and employee performance.
  • Maintain daily/weekly and monthly production requirements to meet sales and customer demands.
  • Provide leadership and management to all levels of the organization, especially by implementing lean best practices and continuous improvement along with 80/20 Pareto strategies.
  • Communicate, lead by example, and execute the strategic plan, vision, and values of the company.
  • Implement production plans, maintain equipment/manpower efficiency, report, and manage supply chain constraints, and determine scheduling and staffing requirements needed to meet production demands.
  • Provide focus and guidance to all site staff to maintain quality, schedules, inventory levels, and production/sales expectations.
  • Act as the technical specialist for all in-house personnel, as well as customers and sales staff when needed.
  • Work with the inside team to support all sales efforts, requests for quote (RFQ), and commercial pricing decisions.
  • Participate in the negotiation of contracts and contractual changes, including coordinating preparation of proposals, business plans, proposal work statements, operational budgets, specifications, and financial conditions of contracts to ensure legal compliance and to protect the organization's interests.
  • Maintain oversight responsibility for effective implementation of the continuous improvement efforts of the organization and monitor results via business metrics/customer satisfaction.
  • Develop metrics/assessment tools to understand the overall performance of the organization and its teams.
  • Oversee deployment of environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures within the area. Ensure workplace training and safety plans are fully implemented. Ensure the area complies with OSHA, EPA, and other safety and health requirements. Operate as a working manager, participating in direct project activities.
  • Lead cost reduction efforts and process improvements for the division to ensure efficiency of operations and cost-effectiveness, as well as minimizing Excess & Obsolete Inventory.
  • Willingness to travel 15% to 20% to visit customers, tradeshows, trainings, and corporate meetings.

**Requirements**

  • 7-15 years of experience in Distribution, Metals, Aerospace, or Manufacturing industry in a mixture of sales and operational roles.
  • Minimum 2 years of management experience (of direct reports).
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Distribution Experience preferred.
  • Metals and/or Aerospace experience is a plus.
