Procurement Assistant Job Description

At Open iT, we're seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Procurement Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for researching market trends, maintaining relationships with vendors and stakeholders, making travel arrangements, and updating relevant spreadsheets and documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Organize trips and make travel arrangements as required.
  • Conduct clerical/administrative tasks within the Procurement Team.
  • Research potential vendors and update internal databases with order details.
  • Place and track orders, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Assist with analysis and reports, as well as arranging meetings with stakeholders.
  • Assist with the inspection of goods and evaluating offers from vendors.
  • Maintain updated records of contracts and follow up with suppliers as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date on market/industry trends and track procurement stages until payment and completion of receipt.
Requirements:
  • Work experience as a Purchasing/Procurement Assistant, Purchasing/Procurement Officer, or similar role.
  • Service-oriented and good understanding of supply chain procedures.
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel and knowledge of market research.
  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
