Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead our team of developers in creating innovative and fun puzzle games. As a Technical Director, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical aspects of our games, including game engineering, architecture, and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Directly manage Technical Leads across multiple pods or products.
- Lead by example, create a strong sense of purpose and community, promote a healthy personal culture, and champion the company culture.
- Define best practices in game engineering and ensure that their teams are striving to follow them.
- Report project status, objectives progress, and any potential problems to the upper management on a regular basis.
- Be a point of contact for any technical enquiries regarding the game's technology.
- Support Product Owners and Technical Leads in defining project direction and providing early estimates.
- Responsible for making sure that products are up to date with any external and when required internal technology changes.
- Work with product leadership and BA on product roadmap and rollouts.
- Monitor product health and work with Product Owners and Technical leads to make sure that problems are addressed in a timely manner.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Proven experience in game development, with a focus on technical leadership.
- Strong technical skills, including game engineering, architecture, and development.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
