Role Overview
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Legal Product Advisor to enhance our legal team. Reporting directly to the Senior Product & Privacy Counsel, you will offer legal expertise across various health-tech offerings, ensuring adherence to relevant laws and regulations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to support product development and implementation strategies. Strong project management and stakeholder engagement skills are crucial for success in this position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Legal Advisory: Deliver proactive legal counsel on diverse matters concerning product development and implementation, focusing on regulatory compliance, data protection laws, and health regulations.
- Project Coordination: Oversee and manage multiple initiatives concurrently, ensuring prompt delivery of legal support for product launches and modifications.
- Privacy & Data Security: Collaborate with Privacy Counsels to create Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) for new product introductions or features.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Cultivate strong relationships with internal stakeholders to comprehend business requirements and deliver effective legal solutions.
- Risk Assessment: Identify potential compliance vulnerabilities and risks, collaborating with the Senior Product Counsel to formulate corrective action plans. Assist with internal audits related to product compliance.
- Ongoing Learning & Research: Stay updated on the evolving legal landscape in EU health, AI, and privacy that impacts our products. Share insights and knowledge with the legal team and relevant stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Legal Knowledge: 1-3 years of experience in a similar capacity within the tech industry. Strong grasp of regulatory compliance, data protection (particularly GDPR), and health regulations, with the capability to provide proactive legal guidance.
- Project Management Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely legal support for product launches and updates.
- Communication and Relationship Management: Exceptional interpersonal skills to foster and maintain relationships with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations.
- Analytical and Risk Management Skills: Capacity to identify compliance vulnerabilities and risks, collaborating on the development of corrective action plans.
- Commitment to Continuous Learning: Strong interest in staying informed about the evolving legal landscape in the EU, especially in health-tech, AI, and privacy, and effectively sharing these insights with the team.
