Product Engineer Compressors

At MAHLE, we're committed to creating innovative solutions for the automotive industry. As a Product Engineer Compressors, you'll be part of our team developing AC compressors, working on a product portfolio consisting of Mechanical variable displacement compressors and electrically driven compressors.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop AC compressor components
  • Develop and author engineering specifications for components and assemblies
  • Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking
  • Utilize DFMEA/PFMEA processes to ensure robust design
  • Blueprint reading and interpretation, specification of GD&T
  • Assist with test unit preparation and execution
  • Analyze test data and organize results
  • Apply engineering practices to reach design solutions
  • Participate in innovation, product cost, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Work with suppliers and manufacturing plants
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or higher
  • Experience developing precision Mechatronic products (5+ years)
  • Understanding of principles of statics, dynamics, mechanics of materials, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, strengths of materials, thermodynamics, physics (mechanical and electrical), and engineering design
  • Automotive/Residential/Commercial HVAC development experience (highly desired)
  • Experience with full product cycle life development up to production
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office and Basic 3D modeling
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good written and oral skills – ability to convey technical concepts
  • Ability to manage time and organize effectively with multiple projects
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Good results orientation and strong work ethic
