Job Summary
Meteorological Technology International is seeking a highly skilled Atmospheric Scientist and NWP Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for predicting severe convective hazards through numerical weather modeling.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of methodologies and products related to risk maps and early warning systems.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain software products.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of catastrophe risk models for humanitarian and insurance sectors.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in atmospheric science, meteorology, atmospheric physics and dynamics, or a related field.
- Proven track record in the study of severe convective systems and related hazards.
- Experience in NWP and AI/ML tools and their application to extreme weather modeling and forecasting.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
