Senior Artwork Coordinator/Project Manager

SGK, a global packaging and brand experience company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Artwork Coordinator/Project Manager to join our Danone team in Barcelona. As a representative of SGK, you will ensure a first-class service is consistently provided with professionalism and enthusiasm while in alignment with client culture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Management: Responsible for gathering, managing, and coordinating new and updated graphics & packaging projects for the client's brand portfolio.
  • Pack Change Process: Coordinating the pack change process for all projects for the client, including packaging artwork, artwork amends, repro, proofs, and all services provided by SGK.
  • Project and Job Status Trackers: Managing and maintaining project and job status trackers.
  • Communication: Communicating key milestones and critical path timelines to all key stakeholders.
  • Risk Escalation: Escalating as appropriate any risks to critical path timelines.
Briefing & Approval Process:
  • Briefing: Collating 'accurate' briefs and submitting to production centre.
  • Approval: Collating amends and brief to production centre.
  • Pre-Artwork Meetings: Coordinating and leading pre-artwork meetings with support of technical manager where appropriate.
  • Minutes and Actions: Collating and distributing minutes and actions.
  • Print and Technical Feasibility: Advising on print and technical feasibility on all assigned projects with the direct support of the SGK Print Technical Team and Operational Teams.
Relationship Management:
  • Build and Maintain Relationships: Building, maintaining, and developing effective & positive working relationships across the client and print supply chain becoming a trusted advisor and enabling first-class service.
  • Culture Understanding: Fully understanding and appreciating client's culture, reflecting this in behaviour and ways of working.
  • On-Site Relationship: Building and maintaining an on-site relationship with the relevant marketing team and supporting departments with support of designated Account Director.
  • Representation: Representing SGK professionally at all times at all levels of management within the client as required, including (but not exclusively) project briefings and non-conformance investigations.

Requirements:

  • Excellent organisational skills and logical approach.
  • Remains calm under pressure.
  • Strong knowledge of FMCG print processes and packaging materials so as to understand the limitations and/or restrictions faced by designers.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experienced in using Microsoft Office.
  • Some experience/knowledge of Adobe products.
  • Experience/Knowledge of working with FMCG brands.
  • Personality/Work Style: Proactive, self-starter; able to work independently/autonomously.
  • Appreciate cultural sensitivities.
  • A good listener and able to demonstrate strong empathy skills.
  • Strong process orientation.
  • Capable and effective leader, who displays collaboration and teamwork.
  • Strong and commanding presence internally to facilitate in driving results for client demands.
  • Excellent project manager who can navigate relationships at all levels within the client environment.
