Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior UX Designer to join our talented UX team at Board International. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for leading the UX design efforts across multiple high-impact projects, driving innovation through user-centered design.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead UX Design Efforts: Oversee the UX design process for multiple projects, ensuring a seamless user experience across our financial and retail solutions.
  2. Mentor and Guide Junior Designers: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement by mentoring and guiding junior and midweight UX designers.
  3. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Product Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts to understand project goals and design requirements.
  4. Drive End-to-End Design Process: Develop and maintain design systems and guidelines, ensuring consistency and scalability across all Board solutions.
  5. Conduct User Research and Usability Testing: Gather insights and validate design decisions through user research and usability testing.
  6. Create and Iterate on Designs: Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs, delivering clear and detailed design specifications.
  7. Leverage Design Systems: Work closely with the UI infrastructure team to expand and maintain our pattern library.
  8. Communicate Design Concepts: Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, design rationale, and user-centered design processes to stakeholders.
  9. Evaluate and Improve Designs: Apply usability heuristics and stay current with design best practices to evaluate new and existing features, offering valuable suggestions for improvement.
Requirements
  1. A minimum of 7 years of experience in UX design, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work across various platforms and industries.
  2. Proven leadership experience in UX design, with a track record of leading and mentoring design teams.
  3. Advanced knowledge of User-Centered iterative design processes and methodologies.
  4. Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
  5. Deep understanding of usability principles, best practices, and accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG 2.1 AA).
  6. Exceptional organizational, analytical, and multitasking skills.
