Key Responsibilities
- Understand complex financial structures and accounting principles, particularly in alternative asset classes.
- Maintain accurate and timely accounting records for a portfolio of clients.
- Process and reconcile transactions, review and validate financial statements, and guide junior staff members on account preparation.
- Coordinate with clients and auditors on a regular basis and monitor ongoing reporting processes.
- Liquidity management, including invoice processing and coordination, monitoring of capital movements, and participation in ad hoc projects.
- Identify process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and investors, coordinating the setup of capital market structures and implementing relevant contracts and service level agreements.
- Supervise internal and external service providers to ensure timely valuation and accounting production, and monitor regulatory and client reporting.
- Ensure compliance with tax and legal obligations, and manage corporate calendars to ensure timely reporting and compliance.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and complex financial structures.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate with clients, auditors, and internal teams.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to identify process improvements and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and make informed decisions.
