About the Role

In the realm of Cognitive Software Engineering, we provide a platform for collaboration with highly skilled teams globally, driving success for our clients.

As a Software Architect focusing on Systems and Technology, your role will involve the exploration, design, and validation of robust architectures that support large-scale, high-performance SaaS applications. Your expertise in SaaS architecture will be crucial in facilitating the transition from development to production and ongoing maintenance of our diverse applications.

You will engage with cross-functional teams, including product managers, domain specialists, and technical leaders, to ensure our products maintain reliability and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

Development of System Architecture: Define the architecture for our cloud-native SaaS solutions. Create and implement designs that are scalable, resilient, and optimized for superior performance. Design of Cost-Effective Solutions: Utilize in-depth knowledge of hyperscale cloud provider offerings to create solutions that balance cost and performance. Stay updated on pricing structures and service options to enhance architectural cost efficiency and operational excellence. Evaluation of Risks and Impacts: Assess functional and non-functional requirements to pinpoint impacts, dependencies, and risks. Formulate strategies to mitigate risks and ensure the delivery of dependable solutions. Maintenance of Architectural Standards: Promote and refine architectural standards. Ensure that designs are in line with best practices and organizational goals. Collaboration Across Functions: Work in close partnership with product managers, domain experts, and other technical teams to encourage innovation and ensure unified development strategies. Leadership and Mentorship: Offer guidance and mentorship to technical teams, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement. Technological Insight: Stay informed about technological advancements and trends, especially in cloud computing and SaaS. Prepare and adjust strategies to effectively leverage emerging technologies. Thought Leadership: Serve as a thought leader within the organization, influencing the strategic direction of technology initiatives and products.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: A Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Relevant Experience: At least 6 years of experience in designing cloud-native architectures, with a solid track record in developing and deploying SaaS applications. Expertise in Cloud-Native Architecture: Proven experience in crafting cost-effective, cloud-native solutions with major hyperscale cloud providers, employing both Kubernetes and serverless technologies to optimize cost and performance. Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in Python, Java, or Go. Extensive experience in designing SaaS applications across one or more hyperscale cloud providers. Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, microservices, and event-driven architectures. Solid understanding of API design, security, and management. Familiarity with CI/CD/CT practices and modern data architecture technologies. Knowledge of Network Design Optimization (NDO) and/or ML/AI is a significant advantage. Architectural Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of cloud-native architecture principles and patterns. Experience in designing scalable and efficient modern data architectures, adept at selecting suitable technologies. Proficient in current hyperscale cloud provider offerings. Capable of managing real-time and batch data and designing and implementing ETL processes and data pipelines in a cloud-native setting. Data Governance: Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance. Skilled in developing scalable data processing systems within cloud environments. Leadership and Innovation: Experience leading design phases of cloud-native applications (HLD, LLD, DD, UAT). Ability to lead by example in programming and documentation practices. Capable of clearly articulating complex issues and concerns to stakeholders. Interpersonal Skills: A dedicated, collaborative, and solution-oriented mindset. Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong collaborative spirit, and outstanding communication skills in English.
