About this role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced researcher to join our team at Gartner Careers. As a Principal Researcher, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth research and analysis on critical issues facing senior executives in leading global corporations.

This is an excellent opportunity for a researcher who is intellectually curious and motivated by ideas. You will have the chance to explore your intellectual curiosity in a collaborative, team-based environment and contribute to the creation of research products that are widely used by executive leaders worldwide.

Key responsibilities
  1. Develop a deep understanding of how senior executives think and behave to create research deliverables that are of great practical use to them.
  2. Learn and execute Gartner's proven methodology for conducting world-class research that helps identify best practice solutions to many of today's biggest business challenges.
  3. Conduct research by speaking with senior executives and industry experts and conducting wide-ranging secondary literature searches.
  4. Develop insights that are practical and actionable to support clients' key priorities.
  5. Independently create key research deliverables, including but not limited to: white papers, how-to guides, case studies, presentations and webinars, and videos.
  6. Closely collaborate with peers and senior stakeholders in several countries as a part of a global research team.
Requirements
  1. A bachelor's degree required, and a Master's/PhD in a social science preferred.
  2. 5+ years of experience conducting primary and secondary research utilizing qualitative and quantitative data.
  3. Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity to process and understand information quickly, as well as diagnose issues to make actionable recommendations.
  4. Experience converting qualitative and quantitative information into clear frameworks, narratives, and visually compelling presentations.
