About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Legal Specialist to join our team at PepsiCo. As a key member of our legal department, you will provide pragmatic, business-oriented, and cost-effective legal support to our South West Europe operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage corporate legal related matters for approximately 20 legal entities in Spain, Portugal, and Italy, including occasional M&A projects.
  • Provide commercial law expertise, with a focus on sales and distribution, operations, and procurement, including competition law aspects.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and execute commercial contracts, including agreements necessary for our business activities.
  • Offer close legal support to internal clients on commercial contracts, legal risk assessment, and mitigation.
  • Prevent or mitigate litigious situations with distributors, customers, and suppliers, and manage pre-litigation situations and litigation coordination.
  • Provide legal support on labour-related matters, including legal risk assessment and coordination with HR and external labour counsels.
  • Support key strategic projects for the business, particularly in sales and distribution, and manufacturing/operations.
  • Collaborate with co-packers, co-manufacturers, and review and negotiate legal documents and commercial contracts.
  • Develop and deliver legal trainings on relevant topics to internal clients.
Requirements
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Spanish, with basic to medium knowledge of Portuguese and Italian highly valued.
  • Broad and high-quality legal knowledge, specifically in commercial law, competition law, and employment law.
  • Ability to anticipate legal issues and risks, develop legal strategy, and set objectives.
  • Management and coordination of pre-litigious and litigation processes.
  • Excellent analytical and drafting skills, attention to detail, and provision of pragmatic solutions.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills with a creative approach.
  • Independence with a result-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work under pressure with tight timelines in a wide range of areas.
  • Strong interpersonal skills enabling efficient collaboration with other Legal team members and cross-functional teams.
