About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join ABB's Motion - Traction Team in Valencia, Spain as a Field Service Engineer. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support to customers, ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment, and driving efficiency and sustainability in the industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site or remote technical support for installation and commissioning of equipment and routine maintenance.
  • Consult with and advise customers on the best service solutions in accordance with standard processes, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Create and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and providing specialist support and solutions.
  • International travel will be required, as the role will require hands-on support at customer sites.
Requirements
  • A degree in Electrical / Power Electronics engineer or CFGS in similar fields.
  • +3 year of experience working as Field Service Engineer, with knowledge in measurement technology in the field of power electronics (voltage range up to 4k V) and with IGBT converter technology.
  • Medium-high level of English.
  • Sound knowledge of and hands-on experience in servicing, maintaining, commissioning, and repairing of Drives, Traction or Wind Power Converters.
