At Rhynocare, we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Resident Care Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities- Observe and monitor residents to ensure their safety and well-being, particularly those with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
- Provide one-on-one supervision and support to residents, engaging them in meaningful activities and promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
- Document observations and care provided, ensuring accurate and timely reporting to the healthcare team.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge in resident care and support.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
- Previous experience in healthcare or a related field, preferably in a residential care setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on resident-centered care.
- Physical ability to perform the duties of the role, including standing, walking, and lifting.
