Software Design Engineer

Job Summary
Koh Young Technology, Inc. is a leading provider of 3D vision-based industrial robotic inspection devices. We are seeking a highly skilled Software Design Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of our medical software platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement a common software platform for our medical software platform.
- Develop a large-scale code build system that can produce multiple software products.
- Document concepts and designs for the larger engineering group.
- Train other specialized engineering groups.
- Communicate and gather requirements from engineering groups, analyze, and design new solutions for the platform.
- Keep the software product design, implementation, and testing processes efficient.
- Deliver integrated software solutions on schedule for time to market.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in C++ software development for Linux or Windows.
- Strong programming skills in C++ with STL for Linux software.
- Familiarity with Shell, Perl, and Python scripting.
- Experience in designing large-scale source code build systems.
- Experience in software integration and common architecture design.
- Familiarity with the software life cycle or experience in at least one full cycle of software product development.
- Familiarity with design, testing, and production considerations.
- Very good communication skills and a service-oriented mindset towards all internal engineering groups.
- Experience and knowledge of robotics and motion control systems is a plus.
