Job Title: O&M Tendering Engineer

Saur Europe is seeking a highly skilled O&M Tendering Engineer to join our team in Madrid. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading the technical aspects of contract acquisition and execution, with a focus on O&M related to water treatment facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Handle the technical aspects during the bid phase for upcoming Operations and Maintenance (O&M), Build-Operate-Own-Transfer (BOOT), and management contracts related to water treatment plants.
  • Cost estimation for O&M services.
  • Development of the organizational structure required for contract execution.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to Saur DI subsidiaries engaged in O&M activities.
  • Offer specialized knowledge and expertise in water treatment topics such as wastewater treatment processes, potable water plants, and the operation of specific equipment.
  • Provide guidance and solutions for technical challenges.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and industry best practices in the field of water treatment.
  • Conduct research, attend conferences, and liaise with technical experts to maintain a comprehensive understanding of emerging trends and innovations.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering with a Master's degree (MSc2) in Environmental or Water Chemistry.
  • Min of 5 years of experience in water/wastewater sector.
  • Experience in consulting, and tendering is valuable.
  • Fluent in English.
  • French or Arabic is a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and computer technology.
  • Familiarity with Activated Sludge Modeling (ASM) software like Biowin or equivalent is a plus.
Key Competences and Skills:
  • Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, operational execution, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel.
