Become a key player in a team of cybersecurity experts and contribute to Swiss Re's mission of enhancing global resilience. As a Cloud Security Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to establish security parameters for our cloud infrastructure, implement proactive and reactive security measures, and automate monitoring and analytics. You will enjoy a hybrid work model, balancing remote work with office presence.

About the Team

This team serves as the central hub for all security initiatives within Swiss Re. We oversee cybersecurity engineering and operations, governance, risk management, and the evolution of the company's security strategy. As part of the Security Team, the Security Advisors Centre of Expertise is pivotal in shaping the security framework for Swiss Re's public cloud environment and is the go-to unit for security-related guidance on any IT project within the organization. We seek an individual well-versed in technologies centered on public cloud security.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance preventive or detective controls and automated response mechanisms
  • Automate processes by utilizing and creating APIs
  • Create self-service tools and frameworks
  • Enhance metrics and monitoring to ensure the robustness of our security infrastructure
  • Leverage existing documentation, source code, and logs to comprehend intricate system interactions
  • Provide ongoing security counsel on a continuous influx of new products and technologies
  • Explore modern technologies and concepts, capitalizing on their security features
  • Engage and collaborate with stakeholders

Your Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of fundamental cybersecurity principles, technologies, and standard practices, along with a readiness to explore new domains
  • Proactive mindset with a results-oriented approach to challenges
  • In-depth expertise in several of the following cybersecurity domains:
  • Network and Application Security
  • Identity and Access Management
  • Modern Authentication and Authorization Protocols
  • Endpoint or Mobile Security
  • Enterprise-grade configurations of Microsoft Workplace and Office products
  • Understanding of security standards implications in regulated settings
  • Exceptional communication skills – fluency in English, both written and spoken
  • Experience in automation, coding, and/or scripting, utilizing one or more of the following languages: Bash, Golang, Python, Perl, Terraform, or similar

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, including the use of tools like Jira, Confluence, and Azure DevOps
  • Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, CISSP, CCSP, SANS GIAC, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in German or Chinese
