Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sustainability strategy that supports Volotea Alaeo SL's long-term goals and objectives.
- Program Management: Oversee the implementation of sustainability programs, including carbon reduction, sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) implementation, energy efficiency, waste management, and sustainable procurement.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal departments, including operations, finance, marketing, and human resources, to promote and implement sustainable practices.
- Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of sustainability initiatives and prepare regular reports on sustainability performance.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental regulations and standards and identify and mitigate risks related to environmental impact and sustainability.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Aeronautical Engineering, Sustainability, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in sustainability or environmental management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role, preferably within the aviation or transportation industry.
- Experience reporting and communicating on sustainability topics to executive committees.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful sustainability strategies and programs.
- Strong understanding of environmental regulations, standards, and best practices in the aviation industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives simultaneously.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental change.
