European IT Infrastructure Engineer Communications Specialist

Nippon Gases is seeking a skilled IT Communications Engineer to join our European team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing support and maintenance for our IT infrastructure, including mail, mobile devices, VoIP, and Teams.
Key Responsibilities- Implement and upgrade IT Communications projects across Europe, coordinating with IT colleagues to ensure seamless execution.
- Present project status and results to colleagues and middle management, ensuring transparency and accountability.
- Train colleagues on new technologies, promoting knowledge sharing and expertise within the team.
- Develop comprehensive documentation and procedures for IT engineers and end-users, ensuring clarity and consistency.
- Identify and recommend mitigating measures for issues affecting the IT team's responsibility area.
- Provide second-level support, interacting directly with international end-users to resolve complex technical and organizational problems.
- Support the Communications team by creating operating procedures and coaching other team members.
- Continuously strive to improve IT team effectiveness by recommending policies and process modifications.
- Work independently, managing customer relationships to achieve optimal results, and maintain a good working relationship with service providers, vendors, and contractors.
- Bachelor's degree in IT or equivalent through experience.
- 5 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, with a focus on support in large client environments.
- Good knowledge of mail and smtp standards, Teams phone system, and Cloud Contact Centers.
- Knowledge and experience with AD, O365 administration, and PowerShell scripting.
- Ability to lead international projects, manage and align activities between project members and stakeholders, and maintain deadlines and planning.
- Experience working in international teams and handling high-priority workloads.
- Strong knowledge of the English language and other EU languages a plus.
