Water Infrastructure Manager, AWS EMEA Energy

The EMEA Energy and Water team is looking for a Water Infrastructure Manager to support scaling and growth across our Data Centre network. We manage our social and environmental impacts globally, and drive solutions that enable our customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable.Key Job ResponsibilitiesYou will manage design consultants, contractual drafting, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedules.You will manage remote 3rd project delivery teams from design through to construction, and possess the ability to facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues, and remove barriers to project success.You will multitask and re-prioritize and effectively lead deliveries based on ever-changing business needs.You will build and maintain overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to Senior leadership to secure finance for project delivery.You will prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and discharges.A Day in the LifeLiaison with a wide range of regulators and external stakeholders (Water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors etc).You will leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycle.Regularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metrics vs. commitment of your projects.Ensure construction standards are followed and national construction regulations are complied with.Create detailed planning packs to build scalable and future-proof water infrastructure.About the TeamAmazon values diverse experiences. Even if you do not meet all of the preferred qualifications and skills listed in the job description, we encourage candidates to apply.Responsibilities and RequirementsBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel.Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission-critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities.Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.Experience in commissioning.Preferred QualificationsProfessional Engineer License.Experience with building codes and regulations for your region.Experience carrying design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.Experience reading, interpreting, and creating construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
