Join our Site Solutions department as our new colleague and work with us to close the gap to a sustainable future.Your new roleRamboll Italy is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer or Engineering Geologist to join its collaborative team in Italy / Spain. This individual will serve a key function providing the review of technical reports, specifications, plans, designing foundations, retaining walls and other geotechnical aspects of construction. In this role you will have the opportunity to partner cross-functionally on premier land development projects.Your key responsibilitiesPreparing and checking engineering designs, technical documents and calculations, and supervising the production of design documents for issue to the ClientOrganising and coordinating projects from Site Investigation and design feasibility to detailed design including site supervision where requiredDevelopment of project controls and monitoring of progress against programmesEnsuring that designs, assessments and checking of designs are in accordance with the current design Standards, Codes of Practice and best practiceUndertaking a wide range of geotechnical design work fully compliant with EurocodesAssisting in the preparation of expressions of interest and tenders including cost estimatesCoordinating the work undertaken by external sub-contractors and design checkersProject administration reporting to Line Management including monitoring programme delivery, resources and budgetsDevelopment and technical assurance of design including clients presentations and reportsMaximising business development opportunities where possibleAbout youBachelors degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology required; Masters degree strongly preferred5 years of related geotechnical experience in geotechnical investigations and construction inspectionsExperience working in a design environment (some site experience as well is preferred)Advanced numerical modelling skills using 2D Plaxis or similar preferredA working knowledge of a range of geotechnical software including GeoStudio suite (Slope / W Seep / W) or similarGood knowledge of statutory processes and technical standards including EurocodesSignificant experience in the civil engineering sectorExcellent English written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail with excellent analytical, multitasking and judgment capabilitiesAbility to effectively work independently and in a team environmentPossess a valid driver’s license in good standing for client meetings and job site visitsWhat we can offer youCommitment to your developmentLeaders guided by our Leadership PrinciplesA culture that welcomes you as the unique person you areInspiration from colleagues, clients and projectsThe long-term thinking of a foundation-owned companyReady to join usPlease submit your application and CV online.
