The contract will be within the framework of the Organic Bioelectronics Research Line of the group, whose objective is to develop theoretical and experimental methods to understand the mechanisms of action of organic biosensors and to develop applications based on them.The successful candidate will develop research involving:Analytical and/or numerical physical models of organic field effect transistors for bioelectronic applications (EGOFETs and OECTs).Time and frequency response analysis.Models for electrophysiological recordings with organic field effect biosensorsModels for scanning dielectric microscopy on organic field effect biosensorsComparison of theoretical predictions with experimental resultsRequirements for candidates:Essential:Bachelor (BSc) and Master (MSc) on Physics/Mathematics/Engineering and related fieldsSelf-critical, capacity to learn and bring knowledgeCompetencies and skills: Communication, Teamwork, Proactivity, Commitment, Collegiality, Integrity, Critical and Analytical thinkingHigh level of EnglishAdvantageous:Background on theoretical physics, applied mathematics, solid-state physics or electronics are a plus.Programming and/or finite element numerical methods skills are a plus.We Offer:Number of available positions: 1Starting date: From 1st April 2023Working conditions:Full time 4-year contract paid in accordance with the Spanish PhD rulesMeasures to reconcile work and family life (maternity and paternity leave, flexible schedule working hours, teleworking, 23 working days of paid holidays, 9 leave days for personal matters, among others).IBEC ensures equality of access to professional development opportunities irrespective of employment status, length at IBEC or other factors.
