Our integrated and multidisciplinary team of over 800 scientists, strategists, economists, clinicians, and biostatisticians collaborate across our North American, European, and Asian offices and advise 80% of the top 50 MedTech companies and 75% of the top 50 Pharma companies.About The Consulting PracticeAlira Health Consulting Practice is an integrated team of approximately two hundred consultants specialized in the healthcare industry who can lead, manage, and execute a broad range of assignments, from Local and Global Market Access and Pricing to Strategy and Commercial Excellence, for Pharma, Diagnostics, MedTech, and Digital Health Solutions (DHS) clients.Global Market Access, pricing, and reimbursement strategyEvidence generation strategy and planHealth Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) strategyCountry launch planning & sequencingPatient Mobilization & Support ProgramsMarket opportunity assessmentSenior Consultant RoleSenior Consultants work closely with Engagement Manager, Principals and Partners to solve challenging client questions. They fully own assigned projects and deliver components of the client engagement, ensuring successful project delivery within agreed timelines and the highest quality standards.For this particular role, the Senior Consultant will be responsible for executing HEOR projects encompassing both global and locally based projects for our clients. These project types will include developing global cost‑effectiveness models (CEMs), budget impact models (BIMs), adaptations of global models to local contexts, and developing early models to support strategic decision‑making.In addition, the Senior Consultant will contribute to the development of Alira Health’s HEOR offering by building internal resources to deliver our projects and developing proposals, as well as external resources such as abstracts, posters, manuscripts and white papers to enhance our profile.Key ResponsibilitiesManage project execution, develop plans to address client needs, and leverage business experience to identify strategies with limited guidance from senior roles.Coordinate client and stakeholder engagements, lead meetings, and report on overall project execution.Guide and review quantitative and qualitative analyses to assist in identifying client issues and developing deliverables.Anticipate potential issues and challenges and communicate effectively with the project team and senior roles.Coordinate the creation of reports, presentations, workshops, and other client deliverables.Ensure the high quality, timeliness, and accuracy of complex deliverables.Develop an in‑depth understanding of the life sciences and healthcare industry and broad knowledge of related consulting methodologies.Provide oversight and direction to team members throughout project development.Ensure compliance with the organization’s policies, vision, mission, and values.Support the Business Development process from lead discovery to proposal defense as part of the execution team.Participate in corporate development by contributing to internal strategic projects, knowledge management, technology systems, and related functions.Manage, coach, and coordinate Associates and/or Analysts and act as their point of reference for daily activities and training.Support preparation and delivery of sales presentations, including quotes and full proposals.Support recruitment and oversee new employees’ onboarding.Support development of thought leadership projects such as white papers, publications, and specialized conferences.Desired Qualifications & ExperienceBlend of consulting and industry experience – minimum 4–5 years in top consulting and Life Sciences companies.Specific knowledge and experience in designing and building economic models, including global cost‑effectiveness models (CEMs) and budget impact models (BIMs) to support HTA submissions, adapting global models for local submissions, and developing early CEMs and BIMs.Strong understanding of HTA submission processes (NICE, SMC, HAS, G‑BA, CDA, and other countries) and how economic modeling supports these processes.Graduate degree with an excellent track record in Life Sciences, Business, Economics, or Engineering; specialized Master degrees in Economics (including Health Economics), Econometrics, Statistics, or related disciplines are a plus.Experience managing projects and project teams.Technical Competencies & Soft SkillsStrong analytical skills and ability to problem‑solve unstructured or ambiguous challenges.Proven experience developing economic models in Excel (including use of VBA).
