You’ll own and evolve the quality assurance strategy across the product and engineering org, laying the foundations for a best‑in‑class QA culture. In the medium term, you’ll take on team management responsibilities — mentoring, hiring, and leading QA engineers across squads.ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the QA strategy across our API platform and partner integrations.Design and implement automated test frameworks (API, regression, load testing, etc.).Own and execute test plans, cases, and documentation for product releases and deployments.Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and DevOps to embed quality into every stage of development.Monitor, report, and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues.Establish and maintain CI/CD pipelines with automated test coverage (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins).Act as an IC in the short term while contributing to the growth of the QA function and building a team over time.Drive a quality‑first culture across teams and processes.Qualifications 5+ years of experience in QA or test engineering, with a strong hands‑on mindset.Proven experience in automated testing of APIs and backend systems.Familiarity with tools such as Postman, Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, REST Assured, etc.Proficiency in test scripting languages (JavaScript, Python, etc.).Solid understanding of agile development, SDLC, and QA best practices.Bonus – Experience building or leading QA teams, even informally.Why Join?Be the first QA lead at a fast‑growing, global travel tech company working on systems trusted by brands likeGoogle, Hopper, Uber, and Expedia .
