Database Administrator (Madrid)Asegúrese de leer la descripción completa a continuación y, si confía en que cumple todos los requisitos, envíe su solicitud de inmediato.We are on the hunt for a curious and tenacious individual to join the Orion Health Madrid team as a Database Administrator.ResponsibilitiesManaging and optimising client databases, ensuring availability, reliability, stability, and performance across multiple customer solutionsAnalysing solutions and implementing industry best practices for managed customer database instancesDesigning and implementing proactive monitoring and observability of key database metricsMonitoring the health and performance of database systems and responding promptly to alerts and incidentsCollaborating with peer SREs to roll out application upgrades and changes in production environmentsDiagnosing, mitigating, and resolving database‑related incidents during business and on‑call hoursParticipating in post‑incident analysis, identifying root causes, and implementing preventative measuresDesigning and delivering optimisations, automation, and continuous improvements to database infrastructureContributing to capacity planning and scalability initiatives to ensure database resources meet demand while optimising for costDocumenting changes and learnings to create repeatable, proactive processesStaying current with industry best practices and emerging technologies to continuously enhance database reliabilityDesigning, testing, and implementing database archiving, backup, and disaster recovery policies and processesWhat you will bringStrong Microsoft SQL Server skills including architecture, administration and performance tuningGood understanding of data management principles; Proven experience with SQL HA and DR technologiesExceptional troubleshooting, analytical and problem‑solving skills; Competent in writing and refactoring SQL queriesIntermediate or higher level cloud skills – AWS preferredA proactive, continuous improvement mindset; When you see something broken, you start fixing itPreferredIntermediate or higher scripting and automation skillsKnowledge of other RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres, etc.) is desirableExperience5+ years of experience in RDBMS database administration or database administration, in large mission‑critical production environmentsAbout UsOrion Health's vision is to reimagine the healthcare experience for all.
