The company develops, builds, finances, manages, and operates high quality renewable energy projects in several countries, with a portfolio of 2,6 GW (1,3 operational and + 1,3 ready to build / under construction) assets in operations and construction, whole portfolio under development sums up to over 18 GW.Asegúrese de leer la descripción completa a continuación y, si confía en que cumple todos los requisitos, envíe su solicitud de inmediato.We are currently looking for an Electrical Substation Manager based in Madrid who, in coordination with the Business Development and Construction teams, will lead the interconnection of renewable energy projects, considering the technical requirements of the Utilities and Applicable Law.What will you help with?Review and validate electrical drawings (SLDs, layouts, cable routing, earthing, etc.) submitted by EPCs, consultants, or equipment vendors, ensuring compliance with project requirements.Provide guidance and technical input to Grid Connection Managers in the preparation and review of grid connection studies and submissions to TSOs/DSOs.Evaluate and verify protection schemes, relay settings, and coordination studies for substations and MV/HV equipment.Represent the project in technical meetings with transmission/distribution operators, engineering consultants, and contractors to ensure alignment with connection requirements.Review and provide recommendations on specifications for HV/MV/LV equipment, ensuring adherence to technical standards and project objectives.Support internal teams during tender evaluation, equipment selection, and contract negotiations from a grid and electrical compliance perspective.Assist in commissioning and energization activities, including FAT/SAT reviews and technical documentation sign-offs.Coordinate across internal project, legal, procurement, and O&M teams to ensure consistency and integration of electrical and grid aspects throughout the asset lifecycle.Oversee procurement and technical compliance of basic/detailed engineering and relevant regulations for the evacuation infrastructure.Conduct technical due diligence for projects, providing actionable recommendations and risk mitigation related to grid and electrical systems.Who you are:Graduated in Electrical Engineering.Based in Madrid.Skilled in Energy, Power Systems, Power Transmission, Project Portfolio Management, Account Management, Substation, Contract Management, Renewable Energy and Smart Grid.Over 6 years of previous experience with other IPPs, TSO, DSO or Electrical Infrastructure EPC companies.High level of English (C1).Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and PowerPoint.Strong understanding of electrical design principles, HV/MV systems, and grid integration of renewable assets.Familiar with relevant IEC, IEEE, and national grid codes.Ability to interpret and comment on technical drawings and protection schemes.Practical knowledge of protection relays and settings.Ability to read and verify cable sizing, earthing layouts, and equipment schedules.Understanding of communication protocols used in SCADA/PPC systems (e.g., IEC 61850, Modbus, DNP3).Familiarity with construction and commissioning phases of grid infrastructure, including witnessing FAT/SAT and energization protocols.What we offer:Hybrid model with 2 flexible days a week working from home.Stable employment based on a permanent contract.Real chances to grow inside a global, multicultural environment.Free health insurance.Free snacks and well-equipped facilities.Language and technical training on demand.Free meal vouchers.Flexible payment plan (transportation, childcare).We're an equal opportunity employer.
