As a Contract & Commercial Manager, you will manage the end‑to‑end contract and commercial lifecycle — from tendering and consultant engagement to final account closure. The role requires partnering with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to deliver commercial and contractual activities with rigour, compliance, and strategic value.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the full spectrum of contract management activities, ensuring alignment with company policies, procedures, and governance requirements.Draft, review, and negotiate contractual documents, managing any disputes or contractual issues to achieve fair and timely resolutions.Manage pre‑qualification and evaluation of consultants and contractors, providing clear recommendations to management.Coordinate fee proposals from multi‑disciplinary consultants and manage the onboarding of successful partners.Liaise with consultants on the tendering process, including tender strategy, package structuring, selection of contract forms, and development of specific conditions.Review tender and contract documents prepared by consultants to ensure clarity, compliance, and commercial soundness.Oversee tender exercises: call for tenders, review tender reports, conduct interviews, negotiate terms, and prepare award recommendations for management approval.Collaborate with Quantity Surveyors to prepare monthly project financial reports and ensure accurate tracking of budgets and commitments.Manage contract administration and vendor relationships, including payment tracking, variation assessments, and performance monitoring.Review consultants’ Statements of Final Accounts and ensure all project close‑out documentation is completed.Undertake additional assignments as directed by your immediate superior.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Contract Management, or a related discipline.Minimum ten years of experience in construction, QS consultancy, or developer environments.Proven ability to manage both pre‑ and post‑contract stages across diverse projects and contract types.Skills & AttributesStrong knowledge of contract law, procurement strategies, and cost control principles.Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex contractual data and drive sound commercial decisions.Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.Why Join DayOneAt DayOne, we’re building the next generation of sustainable, high‑performance data centers across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
