DNA.inc is looking for a Design Strategist to partner with client leadership and cross‑functional teams to envision, validate, and roadmap distinctive, effective, and performant digital experiences for our portfolio of clients.

About the job

In this position, you'll join DNA.inc's design team of 25+ diverse, international designers to strengthen our ability to deliver on‑point design strategies for our clients' digital products and services. You'll serve as a trusted partner to client sponsors and key stakeholders, facilitating structured discovery and co‑creation sessions that build shared ownership and accelerate buy‑in. You'll drive alignment on opportunity areas and implementation roadmaps through evidence‑backed narratives and hands‑on strategic leadership.

As DNA.inc's first dedicated Design Strategist hire, you'll play a foundational role in establishing our strategic design practice. You'll have the opportunity to define what design strategy means at DNA.inc, build frameworks and processes that scale, and demonstrate the strategic value of design to both internal teams and clients. This role is ideal for an entrepreneurial strategist who thrives on building and defining, not just executing within established structures.

As a Design Strategist at DNA.inc, we expect you to contribute in these key areas:

Insight & Problem Framing

- Partner with Commercial team to uncover client challenges

- Co‑create and lead research programs to identify opportunity spaces

- Consolidate and frame key insights that align stakeholders

Opportunity & Solution Validation

- Facilitate co‑design sessions to expand opportunity areas

- Develop concepts and test with real users to validate hypotheses early

- Refine strategic direction based on qualitative and quantitative finding

Vision & Roadmap

- Craft north‑star narratives with high‑level business cases

- Host roadmap workshops to prioritize high‑impact, differentiated capabilities

- Develop initiative roadmaps with clear measures of success

Strategic Storytelling

- Create compelling vision decks linking user value to business goals

- Present and defend recommendations to senior decision‑makers

- Ensure continuous, consistent updates and proof points throughout engagements

Cross‑Functional Orchestration

- Lead multi‑disciplinary teams while remaining a hands‑on strategist

- Foster collaborative, insight‑driven culture across disciplines

- Mediate trade‑offs balancing user value, technical feasibility, and timeline

About you

To be considered a candidate for this position, we're looking for:

- Extensive track record (10+ years) in end‑to‑end strategy engagements for large, complex digital products and services

- Proven experience developing and leading research programs that uncover meaningful opportunities

- Ability to craft clear, research‑driven narratives that create buy‑in from senior executives

- Hands‑on experience facilitating co‑creation and workshop sessions with multi‑disciplinary teams

- Customer‑centric, hypothesis‑driven approach to solving complex, ambiguous problems

- Strong collaborative skills across diverse disciplines and stakeholder levels

- Clear, empathetic writing and verbal communication skills

- Eligibility to work in the European Union without sponsorship or restrictions

- Cross‑industry experience is a plus

in this position you must be comfortable working with clients across European and US time zones. This may occasionally involve meetings scheduled to accommodate different working hours.
