Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning Engineer

In this role you will:

As an AI/ML Engineer at WebBeds, you will take end-to-end ownership of AI/ML projects, from discovery and design to deployment and optimization. Your primary focus will be on leveraging AI/ML to improve forecasting, pricing strategies, outlier detection, and generative AI applications.

You will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of machine learning models into production environments. Additionally, you will drive AI/ML best practices, stay ahead of industry trends, and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Key Responsibilities.

- Discovery and Design: Analyse problems and design solutions with fit for purpose AI/ML technology.
- Building AI/ML solutions: Prototype and advance machine learning and artificial intelligence products in multiple areas, such as forecasting, price optimization, outlier detection, and generative AI. Experiment with different techniques, algorithms, and tools to optimize model performance and accuracy.
- Creating Impact: Write production-ready code and work with software engineering colleagues to bring AI & ML solutions live that provide value for our customers and partners.
- Collaboration and Community contribution: Collaborate closely with experienced colleagues and engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across the organization. Evangelize good practices of AI & ML development and usage. Champion a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.

The skills we would love to see in your suitcase.

- BSc (or higher) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Engineering, Physics, or a related field.
- Experience developing fit-for-purpose AI/ML solutions that created a measurable impact in industry or academia.
- Proficient in advanced AI/ML techniques, such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, or contextual bandits, and experience applying them to real-world structured data (e.g., forecasting, ranking, or classification).
- Excellent working knowledge of Python, including common libraries and tools, such as PyTorch or Tensorflow. Solid understanding of SQL.
- Equally passionate about creating business value and about innovative AI/ML techniques.
- Take ownership of your work and collaborate effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
- Communicate results effectively to technical and non-technical audiences in English.
- Continuous learning mindset, staying up to date with recent techniques and trends in the field.
