Engineering Manager - Trading & Pricing

Location: Madrid or Málaga, onsite 4 days per week

Our client is a well established FinTech delivering global FX and cross border payment solutions. They are hiring an Engineering Manager to lead their core Trading & Pricing domain, a business critical area responsible for the technology behind trading, pricing models, liquidity integrations and high volume financial products.

This role replaces a long standing manager and offers significant influence over the future of the trading platform.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, manage and develop a team of 12-15 backend engineers
- Own engineering delivery across trading systems, pricing engines and liquidity integrations
- Drive architectural decisions for high volume, revenue generating FX products
- Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering Directors and senior leadership on long term strategy
- Ensure the resilience, accuracy and performance of trading and pricing technology
- Remain hands on enough to support the team when required (not a coding heavy role)
- Build a strong engineering culture focused on ownership, quality and continuous improvement

Requirements

- Proven experience in FX trading, trading systems, pricing, or relevant financial/capital markets
- Strong engineering leadership background (team management, coaching, hiring)
- Solid architectural and delivery management capability
- Comfortable being hands on at times while operating at a strategic level
- Ability to work with cross functional stakeholders in a high stakes environment
- Experience with Python and AWS is beneficial but not essential
